About Me…
I’m based here in Aiken County, usually wandering around the same parks, fields, and weird little corners you’ve probably driven past without noticing. I’m mostly just chasing good light and trying not to trip over my own gear. If you’ve got a spot that feels like “your place,” I’m in.
Whether you’re a senior, a couple, a family, or someone who just wants a photo where you look like yourself on a good day, I’ll guide you through it. I’ll pose you in ways that feel natural, light you so you look incredible, and keep things relaxed enough that you forget a camera is involved.
My goal is simple: photos that feel honest, personal, and unmistakably you—something future‑you can look back on and say, “Yeah, that’s exactly who I was.”
Welcome
You’ve got something important coming up — a milestone, a moment, or just a version of yourself you want to remember — and a photo session is a pretty great way to freeze that in time. Most people haven’t done anything like this before, and that’s completely normal. I’ll walk you through it, keep things relaxed, and help you look like yourself without the awkward “what do I do with my hands?” panic.
My job is to notice the little things: the way you stand when you’re comfortable, the expression that shows up right after you laugh, the light that makes your features look their best. I want you and your family to have images that feel real and personal

Uniquely You
Before we get into the session, I like to get a sense of who you are right now — the real you, not the “smile for the camera” version. During our planning chat, I’ll ask a few questions, (try to) listen more than I talk, and figure out what matters to you so your photos actually feel like you.
If there are things that are part of your world — sports, music, books, pets, hobbies, your favorite jacket, whatever — bring them. They don’t have to be “important” in a big dramatic way. They just have to be yours. Little details say a lot about a person, and they help your photos feel personal instead of generic.
What to Wear
Choosing outfits shouldn’t feel like a test. Wear things that feel like you — clothes you actually like, that fit well, and that you’re comfortable moving around in. If you feel good while looking good, it shows.
Mix it up — Bring a couple of different looks: something casual, something a little dressier, maybe something that feels like your “signature” outfit. Variety gives us options without overthinking it.
Bring the meaningful stuff — Letter jackets, jerseys, uniforms, accessories, whatever’s part of your world right now. These little things add personality without trying too hard.
Layering is your friend — Jackets, sweaters, flannels, scarves, hats… layers let us switch up the vibe quickly without a full outfit change.
Think about color — Choose colors that make your skin, eyes, and hair look great. If you’re not sure, bring a few options and we’ll pick together.
Shoes matter more than you think — Bring shoes that match each outfit. It’s one of the most commonly forgotten details.
Wear clothes that make you happy — If you love how you look in it, it’s the right choice.

Hair&Makeup
Looking good in photos isn’t about being “done up.” It’s about looking like yourself on a good day. A few simple things make a big difference.
For everyone: Avoid big hair changes right before your session — new cuts and colors can be unpredictable. Take care of your skin the week before, watch out for sunburns and tan lines, and bring basics like lip balm, a brush or comb, and anything you normally use to feel put together.
For guys: Clean up facial hair a day or two before (eyebrows count). Moisturizer helps your skin look even and healthy. Stick with the hairstyle you know works for you — the morning of your session is not the time for experiments.
For ladies: Professional hair and makeup can be a nice confidence boost, but it’s not required. Aim for “you, polished” rather than a totally different look. Keep makeup blended and close to your everyday style, and bring a few touch‑up items like powder, concealer, lip gloss, and bobby pins. Neutral nails photograph well and won’t distract from your face.
Quick hair notes: Avoid heavy hairspray helmets, tame flyaways, and prep for humidity if your hair reacts to it.
Quick makeup notes: Matte beats shiny, natural light is the best mirror, and clean glasses matter more than people expect.
Location, Location, Location
The place we shoot matters. It sets the mood, says something about who you are, and helps the photos feel like you. I’ve got a handful of favorite spots around Aiken County if you’re not sure where to start, but I’m always open to new places that mean something to you.
If you already have a location in mind, let’s talk about it early. I like to get familiar with a spot before we shoot, and some places require permission or a small fee for photographers. I can help look into all of that so there are no surprises.
Most important: you should feel comfortable where we are. If the location doesn’t feel right, the photos will show it. The best images happen when you’re relaxed, present, and in a place that fits your vibe.

Bottom Line…
You don’t have to show up knowing exactly what to do — that’s my job. Your only job is to be yourself, and I’ll guide everything else so the photos feel honest, relaxed, and true to who you are.
When you’re ready to plan your session, reach out and we’ll get things rolling.
