Mustang Classic 2026

A day full of good music, great friends and lightening. Yes, again this year, the sky opened up and brought rain and electricity to all that enjoyed the 2026 Mustang Classic held at Midland Valley High School. there was a rain. I’m glad that I was prepared and has no equipment issues. We recovered, but the rain delay eliminated the time available for awards. it is what it is. This is still really early in the season, so shows are still evolving. some bands are still working on getting the uniforms. I love seeing how the shows mature.

Performers often make intense or funny faces without realizing it, and every body moves differently when it’s working at full power. These aren’t posed portraits — they’re honest snapshots of people giving everything they have to their art. It may be a trombone player pushing for that perfect note, a percussionist locked into rhythm, or a color guard member whipping a flag through the air, but they’re out there working hard. What you see is dedication — and it deserves to be celebrated.
