Bands Across the Savannah 2026

The local Band Directors got together for the same weekend of 1A, 3a, and 5A SCBDA State Championships. There was nothing for 2A, 4A, or local bands that don’t go to SCBDA (local Augusta area bands in GA) to do this weekend, so North Augusta HS “Jacket Regiment” co-hosted with Fox Creek HS “Pride of Fox Creek” to bring this historical exhibition so that its not JUST a practice, but they can get a numerical score based on the guidelines and not worry about placement. It was an absolutely wonderful afternoon, and I was so happy to see all my band family.

It was sooo windy; there was a lot of fighting the props and we had to put lots of counterweights to the tripods and mic box. That mic box catches the wind so quick, I’m glad that i brought the weights, even though that was a heck of a hike.
